Lil Wayne, "Rebirth"
Lil Wayne's long-awaited new album, "Rebirth," is his first full-length since the multimillion-selling "Tha Carter III" in 2008, and the rapper's first attempt at recording a true rock record. Tame punk-driven guitar licks may eclipse hard basslines, but familiarity is found in Wayne's willingness to be lyrically venturesome. The adolescent angst of lead single "Prom Queen" is just one of his rudimentary musings, and on the almost suicidal-sounding "Runnin' " (featuring newcomer Shanell), he despairingly sings, "I'm runnin' out of time, I'm runnin' out of space/Feel like I'm runnin' round, but I'm runnin' in place." "Rebirth" also finds Wayne exploring speedy pop-punk rhythms ("The Price Is Wrong"), but he still favors the balancing act between Auto-Tuned wailing and unhinged MC'ing ("Paradice"). Although the cleaner melodies and pop polish seem to mute the rapper's stream-of-consciousness salvos, he still shines on "Drop the World," featuring Eminem.-Devin Chanda

'Somos El Mundo' Video Premieres, Stars Pitbull, Shakira, Juanes, David Archuleta, Daddy Yankee
Just when Chile's 8.8 earthquake has dominated headlines, "Somos el Mundo," -- the Spanish-langage version of "We Are the World" -- premiered its video on the Univision network's "El Show de Cristina" last night with dozens of Latin artists bringing their biggest power vocals to the benefit of Haiti's earthquake victims. "Somos el Mundo" was recorded Feb. 19 in Miami...
Colombian singer Juanes opened the song, followed by Ricky Martin, whose foundation has partnered with Habitat for Humanity on shelter-building efforts in Haiti. Shakira sang the first chorus, while Pitbull, the Black Eyed Peas' Taboo and Daddy Yankee performed the rap section of the song. "American Idol" alum David Archuleta sang his parts in Spanish.
The backing track was identical to the one produced by Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie, but the first-ever Spanish version was translated by Emilio and Gloria Estefan, and the recording was paid for by Univision. "Somos el Mundo" was the top Latin song on iTunes this morning; its proceeds will benefit the We Are the World Foundation's Haiti relief efforts.
Watch the "Somos El Mundo" video above, and tell us how you think it compares to "We Are the World: 25."

Paso De Transbordador Causa Pánico En Honduras
The cover art of Camila's second album, "Dejarte de Amar," is tasteful and sparse, with the Mexican pop group's three members pictured suspended over the water at a distance, their features indistinguishable. But the music itself is lush, the beautiful melodies that are a Camila trademark blended artfully in vocal harmony. "Dejarte de Amar" continues the path that Camila crafted on its 2006 self-titled debut, but multiplied. For example, the track "Bésame" begins with a simple voice over keyboard, then steadily progresses to finally explode into a chorus backed by full orchestra. While strings are a staple of Latin pop, Camila uses them with symphonic emphasis and rock attitude, despite the group's unabashed romanticism. The result is a collection of unique tracks that navigate pop, rock and a tad of blues ("Nada"). The album closer "De Mi," with its soulful introductory flute and high-pitched vocals, is a departure that wants to drive home the musical aptitude of a very musical group.
